In the heart of Seville’s old town—where every corner breathes art and history—rises the newly opened Casa Cristine Bedfor Sevilla, the third property of the boutique brand envisioned by Cristina Lozano, its founder and creative spirit.
The building itself is a neomudéjar gem designed by the celebrated Sevillian architect Aníbal González, the genius behind the city’s iconic Plaza de España. Once home to the Lope de Rueda Theatre and later the Trajano Cinema, this address was long a beacon of Seville’s cultural life. Today, after a meticulous restoration, it has been reborn as an exquisite refuge—inviting guests to experience Seville in the most soulful way.

“I was both shocked and mesmerized,” recalls Cristina Lozano about her first visit to the property. “Even though it was in ruins, I immediately saw its potential. Bringing back something so deeply connected to the city filled me with excitement. We approached the project with total respect for its past, keeping the theater at the heart of the hotel.”
For the design, Cristina teamed up with renowned interior designer Lorenzo Castillo to capture the spirit of Renaissance Seville—the city that once served as Europe’s port and a vibrant meeting point between Rome, Genoa, Venice, and the Andalusian world.
“Lorenzo knew it from the start,” she adds. “He wanted to reflect Seville’s golden age—when it was Europe’s port—and pay tribute to Velázquez.”

The resulting aesthetic is a dialogue between stone, marble, and tile—a cultured and elegant Seville, essential and timeless, like the 16th-century city itself, free from excess or pretense. “We wanted the building to speak for itself, but to be lovingly embraced. I couldn’t be happier with the result,” says Cristina.
Each of the 28 rooms has its own rhythm and personality—colors that whisper history, fabrics and treasures that tell stories, and corners that invite you to linger. Designed to offer light, comfort, and serenity, the rooms blend Andalusian elegance with the contemporary spirit that defines the brand. In a city bursting with life, this is a place to pause, breathe, and reconnect.

The culinary experience celebrates Mediterranean flavors with a distinctly Andalusian flair, served on bespoke porcelain printed with Seville’s monuments—personally selected by Cristina Lozano as an homage to the craftsmanship and care that embody the Cristine Bedfor spirit.
From her first hotel in Menorca to the openings in Málaga and now Seville, Cristina Lozano’s universe is bound by one simple philosophy: creating homes, not hotels.
“The invisible thread connecting all our properties is the desire to share spaces and experiences—and to make people feel truly at home. That’s our essence, and it’s what breathes life into each of our houses,” she explains.
Cristina describes her new Sevillian home in just two words:
“Magical and captivating.”
Casa Cristine Bedfor Sevilla is a treasure for those who wish to experience the city from within—a deep immersion in its culture, refined taste, and that thoughtful touch that turns a stay into something unforgettable: a memory for the soul.
